Key responsibilities & impact

Manage mobile development teams, provide guidance, direction, and career development to team members
Accountable outcomes across teams
Responsible for Disney+ and Hulu mobile application development and releases
Oversee code development in Kotlin, Swift and other application development technologies
Oversee team planning and project management, ensuring projects align with team goals and organizational timelines
Collaborate across disciplines with UX designers, product managers, and engineering leadership to build best-of-class, performant streaming experience and platform
Develop departmental vision and strategy
Foster trust, set goals, offer guidance, and provide constructive feedback across peers and stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in mobile application development with expert knowledge of Swift, Kotlin, and Apple/Android Frameworks and ecosystems
4+ years of technical and engineering leadership experience
Experience leading multiple teams, including delegating responsibility and balancing competing priorities
Experience partnering with stakeholders in Product and Design to curate a roadmap that meets the needs of the business while ensuring the ongoing health of your teams
Effective collaboration and communication skills, able to discuss technical topics clearly and engage in productive technical discussions
High emotional intelligence, experience maintaining composure under high-pressure situations and meeting tight deadlines
Strong project management skills, seeing projects through from inception to completion
Bachelor’s degree or better in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent job experience
