About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee and manage high impact and high-profile technical projects
  • Work alongside and advise event managers and clients on the technical production required for all Disney Consumer Products events
  • Design, source, bid, and execute technical solutions for events, meetings, and conferences in various locations around the world – including negotiating and managing technology vendors for A/V needs
  • Create and maintain budgets for all technical aspects of events – including sourced third-party vendors and equipment
  • Identify and direct content needs for events, including video playback and Keynote/PowerPoint presentations
  • Specify and organize equipment for various production and event needs and assist in inventory control for departmental technical, computer, and event equipment
  • Serve as a liaison with executive and talent presenters to gather and troubleshoot presentations, determine playback support, and provide solutions live on site in real time
  • Determine and hire local labor support as needed to execute events
  • Direct local technical crews on site during load-in, event, and load-out as needed
  • Set up and operate small to mid-size event presentation equipment as necessary
  • Identify new vendors, resources, and technology trends

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in technical event production and leading large-scale projects
  • Strategic Thinking & Execution: Offer a fresh perspective, remain laser focused on ROI and relevancy with a transformative mindset to implement production strategies that advance organizational goals
  • Technical Proficiency: Display proven working knowledge and experience in corporate presentation, A/V, and theatrical technologies, including computer skills on both Mac and PC operating systems and file formats and with software that may include QuickTime, Photoshop, Keynote, Vectorworks, Dante Controller, Playback Pro, Premiere Pro, iTunes, Zoom, Teams, Excel, Word
  • Have a strong understanding of technical and stage union rules, as well as Florida and California labor laws
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills with attention to detail and quality
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, and work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, and on occasion work at heights and in tight places
  • Skilled at relationship-building, delegation management, and working in a team-oriented environment
  • Creative, nimble, disruptive to the status quo, genuinely optimistic, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with confidence
  • An appreciation for the Disney brand and understanding of the many global businesses represented within Disney Experiences.
