About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work relatively independently with some guidance from a manager or mentor to take on medium-sized features or product experiences
- Design intuitive, easy-to-understand user experiences that enhance the overall product
- Make good use of existing patterns and standards, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the constraints and capabilities of the platforms you’re designing for
- Create and iterate on flows, prototypes and high-fidelity visuals to communicate ideas
- Clearly and succinctly articulate project goals as well as the rationale behind your designs in various forums, including team reviews and presentations
- Consistently deliver work that is well-thought-out and aligned with project goals
- Demonstrate sustained productivity and meet project deadlines by accurately estimating the time required for tasks
- Share your work in critique, proactively seek feedback from other designers and cross-functional partners, and uplevel peer designers’ work via critique
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
- Experience shipping high-utility mobile or desktop applications/features, simplifying complex user flows, or delivering new product innovation that disrupted conventions
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
- Self-motivated problem solving with the ability to clearly articulate your design rationale
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively
- Hunger for innovation, fluidity with ideas, eagerness to challenge the status quo
- Strong interest in and aptitude for learning new technologies and design skills
- Strong work ethic, are reliable, adaptable, and collaborate well with others
- Ability to design within design standards and contribute to design language
- Expert knowledge of Figma and/or other design tools
