About the role

  • Work relatively independently with some guidance from a manager or mentor to take on medium-sized features or product experiences
  • Design intuitive, easy-to-understand user experiences that enhance the overall product
  • Make good use of existing patterns and standards, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the constraints and capabilities of the platforms you’re designing for
  • Create and iterate on flows, prototypes and high-fidelity visuals to communicate ideas
  • Clearly and succinctly articulate project goals as well as the rationale behind your designs in various forums, including team reviews and presentations
  • Consistently deliver work that is well-thought-out and aligned with project goals
  • Demonstrate sustained productivity and meet project deadlines by accurately estimating the time required for tasks
  • Share your work in critique, proactively seek feedback from other designers and cross-functional partners, and uplevel peer designers’ work via critique

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Experience shipping high-utility mobile or desktop applications/features, simplifying complex user flows, or delivering new product innovation that disrupted conventions
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
  • Self-motivated problem solving with the ability to clearly articulate your design rationale
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively
  • Hunger for innovation, fluidity with ideas, eagerness to challenge the status quo
  • Strong interest in and aptitude for learning new technologies and design skills
  • Strong work ethic, are reliable, adaptable, and collaborate well with others
  • Ability to design within design standards and contribute to design language
  • Expert knowledge of Figma and/or other design tools
