Serves as a department lead, providing daily oversight of Supervisors and Engineers and keeping leadership updated on critical on air information.
Fulfills all responsibilities of a supervisor while leading daily acquisition and distribution operational needs with minimal supervision.
Possesses expert level knowledge of department workflows, signal acquisition paths, distribution signal flows, and department managed hardware.
Provides advanced training on hardware, procedures, and signal flows for supervised staff.
Works with internal departments and external service providers to plan maintenance, events, and departmental projects.
Demonstrates expert capabilities in identifying and resolving operational errors and equipment failures, while adopting new technologies and workflows.
Assists management in developing training and educational materials to ensure full staff competency.

Requirements

8+ years in Broadcast Engineering, Transmissions, Master Control, or similar work environment.
Operational experience in live transmission/acquisition, master control, or live streaming.
Advanced knowledge of MPEG and TS over IP.
Advanced understanding of transmission and acquisition equipment and systems.
Advanced knowledge of digital audio and video signals.
Advanced knowledge of networking and TS Over IP principles.
Exceptional communication and reporting skills that elevate understanding and drive effective outcomes.
