About the role
- Design, implement, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions under the guidance of senior team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing code and production systems
- Test software through various means including unit tests, integration tests and performance tests.
- Proactively assume responsibility for learning and supporting high scale production software systems.
- Participate in the breakdown and estimation of development tasks and effectively communicate your progress on assigned tasks.
- Work under the guidance of senior engineers to improve application functionality and resiliency.
- Actively participate in daily stand-ups and other scrum ceremonies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience
- Deep understanding of the Java programming language and object-oriented programming
- Self-starter with proven ability to deliver high quality software in a pragmatic fashion
- Proven ability to solve challenging technical problems
- Proven ability to learn new technology and/or complex systems
- Proven ability and highly motivated to mentor and help grow other engineers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
