About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own tier-1 services powering hundreds of millions of end-users
Own technical design for initiatives and projects impacting commerce and end-user experiences
Shape the commerce platform with new capabilities and improvements
Participate in code and architecture reviews
Participate in Agile and SCRUM processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and retrospectives
Collaborate with peers and cross-functional partners to solve business problems
Provide rotational on-call support for critical services
Own features and functionality and deliver projects end-to-end with robust architecture

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5 years of related experience creating and coding backend services
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or comparable field of study
Proven track record of driving impact
Experience in backend server-side development for tier-1 services
Expertise in at least one language on the JVM
Experience working with cloud providers
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience investigating technical components and taking ownership of feature development
Availability for rotational on-call support
