About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop feature-rich native iOS, tvOS, and visionOS applications for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro
  • Identify areas for growth within team processes and develop new collaboration systems
  • Write clear, well-tested, performant code
  • Work with developers to create sustainable, well-architected solutions
  • Manage production issues and solve novel problems
  • Guide an agile team through the full lifecycle of application development
  • Serve as the key point of contact for entire features
  • Mentor associate, mid-level, and senior team members
  • Support peers through code review and pair programming
  • Create opportunities to learn and teach others
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, innovative features and enhancements for ABC News

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years relevant work experience
  • Deep understanding of Swift, Apple Frameworks, and the Xcode ecosystem
  • Experience leading a team, including delegating responsibility and balancing competing priorities
  • Experience integrating with backend systems, web services, and third-party software
  • High standards of quality for codebases and applications
  • Growth mindset towards learning, experience mentoring others, and desire to give and receive feedback
  • Experience composing and presenting thoughtful and implementable solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with AVPlayer and video playback strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Must sit onsite four days a week in New York, NY or Glendale, CA
