About the role
- Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting with data modeling and streamlining the process across all geographies/locations
- Develop business cases for new technology investments or process changes
- Monitor industry trends and recommend adaptive strategies
- Support merger and acquisition due diligence activities
- Create and maintain business performance dashboards and KPI tracking reports within current data visualization tool, DOMO
- Lead the development of financial reporting within Power BI
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues affecting business operations
- Perform statistical analysis and trend identification to support data-driven decision making
- Develop and execute data validation procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Assist with data gathering for month end close process, automating tasks where possible
- Help with quarterly board meeting information and analysis preparation
- Support the estimating team by assisting with improving and further automating the model
- Assist the CFO in improving consistency in month-end reporting across all geographies
- Map current state business processes using standard notation (BPMN, flowcharts)
- Design future state processes and calculate ROI for proposed improvements
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and capital expenditures.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and track implementation success metrics
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify efficiency opportunities
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops to align business objectives
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership
- Work with the IT department to coordinate system integration testing between multiple platforms and applications
- Validate data migration accuracy during system implementations
- Support post-implementation system monitoring and issue resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in finance and/or accounting
- 5+ years of comparable work experience
- Proficiency in MS Office products - intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365/Business Central and Power BI is preferred
- Knowledge of DOMO or other business data visualization tools
- Curiosity to learn and use AI as it becomes prevalent in day-to-day business operations
- Ability to quickly learn and understand ERP and business intelligence software
- Experience navigating a large ERP environment
- Ability to work cross functionally and act as a liaison with all other departments
- Ability to adapt and strive in fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with little to no supervision
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
