About the role
- Define and drive the animation vision for an unannounced project.
- Oversee animation across gameplay systems and cinematic content.
- Establish animation direction, pipelines, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with design and engineering.
- Direct and oversee motion capture shoots.
- Review in-engine implementation for quality and consistency.
- Communicate animation goals and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Served as Animation Director on at least one shipped AAA product.
- 6+ years in professional game animation, including leadership responsibilities.
- 3+ years contributing to FPS animation development.
- 3+ years directing, managing or supervising MOCAP sessions.
- Hands-on animation experience with the ability to supervise both gameplay and cinematic teams.
- Strong ability to produce, review, and implement animation content.
- Strong experience working directly in Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5), with UE5 strongly preferred.
- Mandatory 6–8 years managing or supervising animation teams.
