About the role

  • Define and drive the animation vision for an unannounced project.
  • Oversee animation across gameplay systems and cinematic content.
  • Establish animation direction, pipelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with design and engineering.
  • Direct and oversee motion capture shoots.
  • Review in-engine implementation for quality and consistency.
  • Communicate animation goals and progress to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Served as Animation Director on at least one shipped AAA product.
  • 6+ years in professional game animation, including leadership responsibilities.
  • 3+ years contributing to FPS animation development.
  • 3+ years directing, managing or supervising MOCAP sessions.
  • Hands-on animation experience with the ability to supervise both gameplay and cinematic teams.
  • Strong ability to produce, review, and implement animation content.
  • Strong experience working directly in Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5), with UE5 strongly preferred.
  • Mandatory 6–8 years managing or supervising animation teams.
