About the role

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to Engineers across multiple squads
  • Deliver and maintain production-ready, secure, stable, and performant code in line with TVG Engineering standards in a DevSecOps manner
  • Lead software design, coding, reviews, testing, and debugging
  • Solve challenging technical problems and drive software engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Mentor and coach Software/Data Engineers and empower skills growth
  • Champion adoption of TVG’s SDLC, reusable components, and contribute to technical product roadmaps
  • Play a leading role in software technology selection and ensure technology is right-sized
  • Identify cost optimisation opportunities and contribute to a positive, inclusive engineering culture

Requirements

  • Significant experience delivering software solutions in squads operating in a lean, agile, DevSecOps environment in a senior or leadership role
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and modern software engineering tooling
  • Demonstrable experience providing clear technology leadership, direction and decision making for a whole team
  • Experience building, integrating, maintaining, and managing complex software architectures across multi-cloud environments
  • Experience building software applications with security, reliability, scalability, high availability, and concurrency built-in
  • Experience with software design, coding, code reviews, testing, and debugging
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable representing the company externally to build brand and attract talent
  • May be required to undertake credit, CIFAS, Right to Work checks and, if role-specific, a DBS check
