About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide outstanding customer service while managing and coordinating healthcare services between patients, family members, care providers, and other healthcare institutions
- Schedule appointments and provide support, education, and guidance to patients and providers
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat
- Provide accurate information about products and services
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns
- Document customer interactions and record inquiry, comment, and complaint details
- Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily
- Meet or exceed service-level quality and productivity metrics
- Stay up to date with product, service, and promotion information
- Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service
- Perform other duties assigned by Contact Center leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school graduate or equivalent
- One year of experience in customer service, call center, or healthcare-related role
- Previous healthcare experience and familiarity with medical terminology
- Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Knowledge of call center telephony and technology
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
- Professional, pleasant, and respectful telephone etiquette
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with callers, colleagues, and managers
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet service-level metrics
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, including answering calls, responding to emails, and updating customer records
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and managers
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in caller needs, company policies, and procedures
- Must reside in the state of Texas
