About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform x-ray procedures to produce diagnostic images
  • Provide radiologic services using fixed and mobile x-ray equipment
  • Work in high-acuity, surgical, and outpatient areas
  • Provide services throughout the department and at associated imaging facilities
  • Participate in patient transport to support timely care and patient satisfaction
  • Support patient safety, infection control, policies, procedures, and regulatory practices
  • Interact with hospital customers to support patient satisfaction and HCAPS scores
  • Assist radiology leadership with process-improvement information collection
  • Provide continuing education and serve as a department resource and role model
  • Report potential hazards, safety issues, and unsafe behaviors to Radiology leadership
  • Complete mandatory educational assignments
  • Perform other assigned duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate
  • Graduate of a 2-year accredited Radiology Technology program
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) through the State Board of Healing Arts for Kansas locations, within 90 days
  • Radiography (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Competence with fixed and mobile x-ray equipment
  • Experience in high-acuity areas, surgical areas, and outpatient settings
  • Ability to use computer systems for patient testing and quality/performance data retrieval
  • Ability to perform assigned unit or department professional, clinical, and technical competencies
  • Additional language skills are a plus
