About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design material handling equipment utilizing AutoCAD
Lead project installation, vendor assessments, and procurement
Improve existing systems and procedures, increase efficiency and add capacity
Develop short and long-term capital strategy to support DC volume growth
Coordinate all aspects of each assigned engineering project from inception through to completion
Research historical data to estimate critical timing sequences and projected construction costs
Find creative solutions for timely installation of equipment
Investigate groundbreaking technologies for applicability to TJX Companies
Mentor Project Engineers and lead special projects
Lead capital projects up to $100 million or more

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial or Mechanical)
6+ years’ of Engineering & Project Management experience
Experience with material handling systems
Distribution Center/Retail experience preferred
Experience with AutoCAD Design
Understanding of work methods analysis
Detail oriented, strong organizational and conflict resolution skills
Ability to balance multiple projects and changing priorities and work independently as well as in a team environment
Project Management experience leading teams
Negotiation/influencing skills and strong communication skills
40%-60% Travel is required
