About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Background Investigations Compliance Manager to ensure TJX’s compliance with federal and state background screening/investigation employment and labor laws, policies and regulations
  • Conduct investigations and research, gather data, analyze facts, and help develop recommendations for Associates with adverse background check results
  • Assist with adjudication and notification processes and ensure timely execution and compliance by store teams and HR partners
  • Review background check results according to company policies, applicable laws, regulations, and procedural requirements
  • Obtain, research, investigate, and review data from various sources and information systems
  • Prepare reports and written summaries of findings for the Background Investigations Compliance Manager and Global Investigations and Safety leadership
  • Provide recommendations and assistance to managers and HR partners regarding research and results
  • Initiate pre- and post-adverse action processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • In process of completing a Bachelor’s degree, paralegal experience, and/or extensive online research/investigative experience
  • Experience in online research, analysis, and investigations
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness in review, and excellent written and verbal communication
