About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in process improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodology
  • Scope, define, and prioritize projects
  • Identify project metrics and develop control plans to ensure continuous, sustainable, measurable, and validated gains
  • Support research to identify improvement opportunities
  • Identify, test, develop, and implement sustainable strategies to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Provide planning support using the DMAIC project roadmap
  • Validate project solutions and deliver measurable, validated results
  • Serve as an internal consultant on assigned projects
  • Define Voice of the Customer, oversee data collection and analysis, and support testing
  • Collaborate with TJX departments affected by operational efficiency initiatives
  • Analyze data using project metrics and provide quantitative and qualitative observations
  • Develop recommendations based on findings
  • Present the Co-op’s work and accomplishments, potentially in June

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Working towards College Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or similar discipline
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and DMAIC methodology; LSS Green and/or Yellow Belt training an asset
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including structured project methodologies
  • Ability to determine needs, research existing programs, develop business recommendations, and maintain detailed project development plans
  • Knowledge of project control principles and project reporting systems
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including analyzing information and providing solutions with cost implications
  • Good understanding of financial planning, business tools, and reports
  • Organizational development skills, including change management and time management
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, work under time pressure, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information accurately
  • Ability to develop relationships with internal and external partners and influence team members
  • Demonstrated people management skills, including coaching, advising, evaluating performance, providing feedback, and participating in recruitment, selection, and staff orientation
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • VBA and SharePoint knowledge/experience an asset
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data using statistical software such as Minitab
