About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and executive reporting
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting operations
Build scalable accounting processes and internal controls
Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial decisions
Lead the company's first external financial audit

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Active (or eligible) CPA required
5–10 years of progressive accounting experience
2+ years as a Controller or Assistant Controller in a small to mid-sized company
Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and cloud-based accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar)
Experience owning the full accounting function from close through financial reporting
**Preferred:**
SaaS, fintech, or financial services experience
Audit or public accounting background
Experience supporting high-growth companies
