About the role
- Manage and prioritize activities of the software development team.
- Provide technical development oversight for internal developers and third-party partners.
- Design, code, and implement systems and software applications, including API development to facilitate vendor solutions.
- Develop architectural solutions for systems, databases, user interfaces, and web services.
- Conceptualize software systems to address business and customer needs.
- Conduct cost analysis to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Guide, coach, and mentor software development engineers.
- Work closely with management, business stakeholders, customers, vendors, and developers to align solutions with strategic vision.
- Provide project management and technical leadership for software initiatives.
- Supervise resource allocation, evaluate projects, update schedules, and supervise project status.
- Manage and escalate delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes.
- Conduct unit and integration testing and ensure solution accuracy and performance.
- Prepare project lifecycles including research, development, design, evaluation, testing, and delivery to product management.
- Supervise architecture and lead efforts to develop the technical roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Five or more years of software development experience.
- One or more years of supervisory experience.
- Maintains knowledge of leading-edge technology.
- Software Development Management experience required.
- Financial Services Industry experience required.
- Solid understanding of the financial services industry.
- Experience with Jack Henry and Associates SilverLake preferred.
- Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and professional presentation.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
