About the role

  • Oversee the Finance Department
  • Oversee general bookkeeping duties, manage the general ledger system, profit center accounting, board report preparation, ALM operations, and accounts payable and fixed assets system
  • Monthly reconciliation and monitoring of assigned general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly finance board reports for submission a week before scheduled Board of Trustees meeting
  • Assist CFO in preparation, monitoring, and execution of the annual budget
  • Research and provide reports on historical and budgeted financial data
  • Maintain accounting manual and GL responsibility list
  • Maintain and develop GL reports as needed
  • Prepare all calculations on a monthly basis
  • Prepare branch accounting reports and maintenance of customer origination
  • Assist in coordinating internal and external audits
  • Prepare regulatory reports such as call reports and maintain adequate work papers
  • Chair ALCO committee and take minutes of ALCO committee meetings
  • Develop and maintain applicable accounting policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, and/or related degree or experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Five or more years of finance experience in banking or a related field
  • Must have excellent supervisory skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
