About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary contact for policyholders, employers, and employees on claims and coverage inquiries
- Administer life, disability, and leave claims, including coordination of death claims
- Resolve escalations related to claims, billing, and contract interpretation
- Partner with HR, Benefits, and Payroll teams across multiple locations
- Provide reporting on claims status, outstanding items, and Evidence of Insurability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in FMLA, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and life insurance (employer, broker, or carrier)
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Experience managing claims processes and resolving complex customer inquiries
- Strong knowledge of benefit contract interpretation and premium administration
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and business units
- Strong verbal communication skills with a focus on empathy and customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience coordinating projects and cross-functional work
- Experience supporting group life, disability, and leave programs in a corporate or insurance environment
