About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead our group pricing function for our Employee Benefits Life, Absence and Disability $4b block of business.
- Play a key role in growing profits through strategic pricing decisions, industry insights, superior analytics and innovative solutions.
- Develop and execute pricing philosophy, strategy and tactical actions to achieve long term business objectives.
- Oversee reinsurance for our group benefit products to facilitate and maintain appropriate levels of risk retention.
- Support product development in partnership with other key stakeholder groups.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree a plus.
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent non-US actuarial credential.
- At least 10 years of post-fellowship experience with significant leadership experience in the group benefits pricing area including Group Life, Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD), Group Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML), and Group Dental and Vision experience.
- Oversee the development of pricing strategies for LAD products to ensure competitive pricing and achieve profitability targets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Drive risk management with Underwriting and develop reinsurance partnerships.
- Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, promoting ongoing professional development and growth.
- Drive actuarial innovation and best in class actuarial practices.
- Translate complex actuarial insights into clear, actionable operational and strategic guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
