About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a key contributor supporting Technology Business Management (TBM) Analytics, enabling greater transparency and optimization of IT cost, quality, and value
- Partner across IT and Finance to design, maintain, and enhance TBM cost models, leveraging tools such as Apptio to deliver actionable insights that support data-driven decision making
- Focus on cost model development, data integration, and system administration while also driving continuous improvement in data quality, allocation methodologies, and analytics capabilities
- Play a critical role in helping leaders understand total cost of ownership, optimize IT services, and align financial outcomes with strategic technology priorities
- Participate in occasional travel for stakeholder engagement, planning, or training sessions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or related fields; experience in technology-driven or consulting environments preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of IT financial management practices, including budgeting, cost allocations, capital vs. operating expenses, and product-based funding models
- Experience with Technology Business Management (TBM), Apptio, or CIO advisory work, with the ability to translate financial and operational data into actionable insights
- Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL/data warehouse tools (e.g., SQL Server, SSMS, TOAD), and data analysis tools (Power BI, Python, VBA, or similar)
- Experience integrating and transforming data across multiple enterprise systems (e.g., ERP platforms, ServiceNow, cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS)
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across IT and business functions without formal authority
- Experience supporting data governance, data quality initiatives, and continuous improvement of analytics processes
- Preferred certifications: ETBMA/RTBMA, ITIL/IT4IT, or data/analytics certifications (e.g., MCSE in Data Management & Analytics)
