About the role

  • Assist leadership with development of organizational strategies and objectives
  • Help identify priorities in alignment with business objectives
  • Lead and manage initiatives to achieve goals across the department
  • Collaborate and consult with key stakeholders across the enterprise and external client partners to ensure alignment and coordination
  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of projects
  • Drive execution of assigned projects and programs
  • Manage repository and documentation of standardized work processes, job instructions and job aids
  • Create and conduct programs to address business or regulatory issues
  • Act as a subject matter expert as needed
  • Develop and maintain performance management models, techniques, systems, and tools
  • Contribute to the maturation process of our reporting on operational results, forecasts, and trends
  • Analyze and interpret complex data to provide meaningful insights to leadership and employees
  • Work closely with vendors, EB Business Intelligence, EB Value Optimization Services, Learning and Development and Quality Management leadership teams
  • Oversee work of direct reports in alignment with departmental goals
  • Train staff; support continuous improvement; demonstrate leader expected behaviors; challenge the status quo

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience required
  • Professional certification required: Rummler-Brache and CEBS preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible group disability claim experience
  • 3 years of experience managing a claim team
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Lean principles strongly preferred.
