About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist leadership with development of organizational strategies and objectives
- Help identify priorities in alignment with business objectives
- Lead and manage initiatives to achieve goals across the department
- Collaborate and consult with key stakeholders across the enterprise and external client partners to ensure alignment and coordination
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of projects
- Drive execution of assigned projects and programs
- Manage repository and documentation of standardized work processes, job instructions and job aids
- Create and conduct programs to address business or regulatory issues
- Act as a subject matter expert as needed
- Develop and maintain performance management models, techniques, systems, and tools
- Contribute to the maturation process of our reporting on operational results, forecasts, and trends
- Analyze and interpret complex data to provide meaningful insights to leadership and employees
- Work closely with vendors, EB Business Intelligence, EB Value Optimization Services, Learning and Development and Quality Management leadership teams
- Oversee work of direct reports in alignment with departmental goals
- Train staff; support continuous improvement; demonstrate leader expected behaviors; challenge the status quo
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience required
- Professional certification required: Rummler-Brache and CEBS preferred
- Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible group disability claim experience
- 3 years of experience managing a claim team
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Lean principles strongly preferred.
