About the role
- Manage a portfolio of 20–25 large client accounts, providing end‑to‑end billing support across the life of each policy
- Serve as the primary billing contact for assigned clients through direct communication (no shared inbox or call queue)
- Handle all billing functions, including invoicing, payment reconciliation, deductions, research, and discrepancy resolution
- Conduct ongoing and event‑driven audits, including Open Enrollment audits, to ensure billing accuracy and compliance
- Partner with internal teams and clients through meetings, reporting, and analytics to resolve issues and meet client expectations
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: At least 3 years of accounting or complex finance experience.
- 5 years of customer service or account management experience.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and OneNote.
- Extensive understanding of the cross‑departmental implications of contract and billing issues.
- Strong customer-facing presentation skills and oral/written communication skills.
- Prior experience with voluntary benefits is preferred.
- Salesforce experience is preferred.
