About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts and build client, partner, and key decision-maker relationships
- Maintain regular communication to understand client needs and identify new business opportunities
- Position the organization's portfolio as the preferred hospitality partner through service, product expertise, and account support
- Drive revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and developing group, TMC, and leisure wholesale business opportunities
- Identify upselling, cross-selling, and market expansion opportunities
- Generate qualified leads through prospecting, sales calls, networking, and industry events
- Execute account strategies aligned with client objectives and market priorities
- Manage contract renewals and retention strategies
- Resolve client concerns and maintain customer satisfaction
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records, CRM data, forecasts, and reports
- Maintain an up-to-date Outlook calendar and manage expenses
- Participate in meetings, conference calls, and internal forums
- Collaborate with internal teams and regional leadership to support account, territory, and business objectives
- Analyze account performance and monitor account and market performance
- Evaluate performance using commercial, revenue, and contribution metrics
- Refine account strategies based on performance, client feedback, and market trends
- Prepare and present performance updates, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders
- Maintain a professional appearance and vehicle reflecting company standards
- Properly use, maintain, and securely store company-issued equipment and sales materials
- Work independently in a field-based role while collaborating with regional leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of experience in hospitality, travel, account management, or business development
- Experience with group, TMC, and leisure wholesale business preferred
- Proven ability to generate, manage, and convert sales opportunities across multiple market segments
- Strong sales, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and accountable
- Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, WebEx, Zoom, and Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- Experience in the New Zealand market with established customer relationships preferred
- Ability to work independently in a remote, field-based role with flexible hours as needed
- Maintain a professional appearance and vehicle that reflect company standards
- Ability to properly use, maintain, and securely store company-issued equipment and sales materials
