About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a full caseload of employment litigation matters from inception through trial
- Represent clients in state and federal court, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Handle cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions (motions to dismiss, summary judgment)
- Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and taking/defending depositions
- Develop case strategy and provide litigation risk assessments to clients
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration
- Collaborate with internal teams while maintaining ownership of case outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed attorney in the state of Colorado (or ability to obtain licensure)
- 3+ years of employment litigation experience
- Proven experience managing cases independently and appearing in court
- Strong motion practice and deposition experience
- Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.
