💰 $42,000 - $55,000 per year

About the role

  • Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up
  • Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on all existing client needs
  • Actively prospect round accounts and solicit increases in existing client coverage
  • Obtain best coverage/rate for insured, process quotes, and bind insurance coverage
  • Present policies to insured and educate them on coverages and rates
  • Support clients for renewal and retention
  • Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, and provide expertise

Requirements

  • Hold the insurance license required by your state
  • Minimum of two years of personal and commercial lines insurance account management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience
  • Valid driver’s license and a source of reliable transportation
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations
  • Proven track record of business-to-business sales success
  • Strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills
  • People-oriented, customer-focused, and professionally assertive
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to complete difficult assignments without supervision
  • Sound business judgment, strong decision-making, and superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Technology and computer proficiency including agency management systems
