About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Director of Treasury in managing territorial headquarters’ treasury and cash management functions
- Advise on banking products and services and manage merchant and corporate card programs
- Oversee requests for bank accounts, banking services, corporate cards, and merchant accounts
- Manage relationships with bankers, corporate card suppliers, merchant service providers, and other external service providers
- Assist with issue resolution, negotiations, process improvements, and service enhancement implementation
- Oversee daily balance reporting, cash forecasting, overdraft policy administration, monthly interest calculations, and treasury reporting
- Oversee corporate card, purchase card, merchant payment, and gifts-in-kind programs
- Monitor treasury operations, financial activity, trends, risks, exceptions, and stakeholder issues; implement corrective actions and escalate concerns
- Lead rolling cash forecasts, variance analysis, and risk assessments
- Manage banking operations, cash management, access controls, reconciliations, foreign exchange, interest, and bank fee reviews
- Train, coach, and support staff and resolve operational issues
- Drive continuous improvement and optimize treasury, payment, and administrative processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders and service providers on business needs, payment and banking solutions, operational issues, and technology changes
- Support trade finance, commercial borrowing, loan portfolio management, lease-versus-buy evaluations, and investment activities
- Coordinate audits, compliance reviews, investigations, and monitoring processes
- Develop requirements, analyses, reports, and recommendations and communicate insights to stakeholders and senior leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in Finance, Treasury, Banking, or a related financial management environment
- Demonstrated experience with banking platforms, cash management, corporate and purchase card programs, merchant services, reconciliations, financial reporting, and analysis
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
- Ability to develop, analyze, and present information effectively
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to build relationships, provide guidance, and deliver a high level of customer service
- Ability to train, coach, and support staff, monitor work quality, and escalate risks, issues, and exceptions appropriately
- Integrity, professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage confidential information and competing priorities
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred
