About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assists in the organization and distribution of food bank donations.
Provides emergency food hampers to clients as directed by counselors/caseworkers or supervisor.
Assists in the maintenance and general cleanliness of the Food Bank and/or Meal Centre.
Provides positive and courteous service to customers in Thrift Stores.
Processes customer transactions ensuring accuracy.
Ensures safety and functionality of warehouse and property in accordance with safety policies and guidelines.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period.
Completion of high school.
Background check consent.
A clear vulnerable sector screening.
Clean drivers abstract.
Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training.
Up to three (3) months of prior related experience, including experience working with multi-barrier persons.
Ability to speak English and other languages.
