About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support day-to-day retail operations and contribute to an inspiring in-store experience
Conduct retail sales and operate Point of Sale devices
Sort, price, and prepare donations for sale
Assist with visual merchandising and store presentation
Provide exceptional customer service
Display stock in correct departments according to policy and procedure
Follow Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
Demonstrate The Salvation Army's core values in all work-related activities
Report to the Store Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Retail sales experience highly regarded but not essential
Strong customer service skills
Genuine passion and ability to deliver outstanding results
Alignment with values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity
High-energy, hands-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexibility to work a rolling roster including weekends and across various retail-area locations
Successful completion of a mandatory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
Successful completion of a Working with Children Check for child-facing roles
