About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the operational management of the quality control laboratory
  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of the team leads for the physico-chemical laboratory and sensory analysis
  • Ensure smooth laboratory operations with respect to quality, costs, deadlines and capacity
  • Responsible for personnel, shift, capacity and resource planning
  • Manage laboratory workload, prioritize analytical tasks and ensure timely release of results
  • Establish and standardize efficient laboratory processes
  • Responsible for modern analytical methods as well as the availability, qualification and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Support method validations and the introduction of new technologies
  • Ensure compliant laboratory procedures, support audits and implement CAPA measures
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, R&D and Supply Chain
  • Promote a sustainable quality and safety culture
  • Drive Lean and digitalization projects and develop relevant KPIs to monitor and improve laboratory performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in a natural science or equivalent qualification with extensive leadership experience in a laboratory environment
  • Several years of experience managing analytical and accredited laboratory areas
  • Solid knowledge of physico-chemical analytical methods and laboratory organization
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Systems and relevant quality standards
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
  • German language skills at C1 level
  • English language skills at B2 level
