About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Qualification of new suppliers and evaluation of new raw materials with regard to quality, safety and compliance
- Conduct supplier assessments and monitor supplier performance
- Responsible for supplier complaint management and tracking of corrective and improvement measures
- Preparation, review and approval of raw material and purchasing specifications;
- Preparation of risk assessments for raw materials and management of communication with suppliers in case of quality deviations
- Ensuring compliance with quality requirements, legal regulations, standards and specific additional requirements
- Development of risk-based inspection plans for raw materials and suppliers as well as definition of required analyses and testing frequencies
- Maintenance of supplier and raw material master data in the LIMS
- Actively driving projects to optimize supplier and quality processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Food Technology, Nutritional Science (Ökotrophologie) or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience (ideally 3–5 years or more) in quality management or raw material management within the food or FMCG industry
- Practical experience in qualifying, assessing and developing suppliers as well as in supplier complaint management
- Sound knowledge of relevant standards and requirements in food safety, in particular IFS Food, FSSC 22000 or comparable standards
- Able to work analytically, in a structured way and solution-oriented
- Confident presence, assertiveness and strong communication skills
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently and keep an overview when handling multiple topics
