About the role
- Lead a team shaping the next generation of learning, tutoring, and student success products
- Balance hands-on technical leadership with people management
- Drive improvements to engineering practices in developer efficiency, CI/CD, testing strategies, and AI tool adoption
- Build and develop a high-performing team of 3-6 engineers
- Partner with Product and Design to translate business goals into technical plans
- Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
- Drive measurable improvements in team velocity and delivery quality
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- At least 3+ years of people management experience leading engineering teams
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET technologies
- Ability to contribute meaningfully to code and technical design (React experience is a plus)
- Strong hands-on experience with database design and SQL (MSSQL experience is a plus)
- Demonstrated experience driving process improvements in CI/CD, testing practices, quality assurance, or adoption of new development tools and technologies
- Track record of improving team velocity and delivery quality
- Experience coaching engineers at various skill levels
