About the role

  • Lead a team shaping the next generation of learning, tutoring, and student success products
  • Balance hands-on technical leadership with people management
  • Drive improvements to engineering practices in developer efficiency, CI/CD, testing strategies, and AI tool adoption
  • Build and develop a high-performing team of 3-6 engineers
  • Partner with Product and Design to translate business goals into technical plans
  • Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Drive measurable improvements in team velocity and delivery quality

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • At least 3+ years of people management experience leading engineering teams
  • Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET technologies
  • Ability to contribute meaningfully to code and technical design (React experience is a plus)
  • Strong hands-on experience with database design and SQL (MSSQL experience is a plus)
  • Demonstrated experience driving process improvements in CI/CD, testing practices, quality assurance, or adoption of new development tools and technologies
  • Track record of improving team velocity and delivery quality
  • Experience coaching engineers at various skill levels
