About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- On-site assessment – using the site risk assessment, the Worker will be responsible for checking the venue and equipment to be used (goal posts, surface, etc) and to highlight any risks identified, both via the pre-event risk assessment and via the on-site assessment.
- Co-ordinate the day – using the pre-event literature, the Worker will be responsible for delivering a pre-event briefing to event participants and any venue staff, and ensuring that games are played as per schedule.
- Workers may be required to help coordinate off-field activities, e.g. facilitating workshops, opening ceremonies & educational delivery support.
- Pitch Management – Ensuring all kit and equipment is available for matches and it is in a safe condition for team use, ensuring pitches are set up & match timings go as planned.
- Recording of results from matches, using digital tournament management software.
- Referee liaison – a team of referees will be on site at each event. The Worker will be responsible for briefing the lead referee and ensuring they are aware of the rules and schedule for the day/event.
- Provide feedback post-event to the Premier League.
- The Worker will also be required to attend Fixtures as a Games Programme Match Monitor. This role is observational and report-based.
- In addition, the Games Programme Workers team will help to provide assistance in the delivery of the residential tournament programme.

- Experience of working with children and adults at risk and/or knowledge and understanding of issues that affect their safety and wellbeing.
- Strong communication skills.
- Emergency First Aid Trained is desired but not required.
