Provide comprehensive, trauma-informed clinical assessments and therapy (including TF-CBT) for children under 12 and their families impacted by gender-based violence
Develop individualized treatment plans focused on safety, healing, and empowerment
Conduct interventions with individuals, families, or groups, including individual therapy, family therapy, single session therapy, social skills training, anger control training, problem solving training, parent skills training, parent support groups and classroom observation
Maintain timely, sensitive, and accurate clinical documentation aligned with agency and professional standards
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, caregivers, schools, and community partners (e.g., GBV shelters) to coordinate care and support
Participate in treatment planning, case conferences, and safety planning for clients at risk
Facilitate referrals and service navigation and communicate planned admissions/discharges to other agency programs when applicable
Center child and family voices; provide parenting support and psychoeducation and advocate for clients within systems to reduce barriers
Uphold legal, ethical, and trauma-informed care standards; engage in clinical supervision, agency training, and professional development with a GBV and anti-oppressive lens
Contribute to student learning, community education, cross-sectoral training, and participate in program evaluation and continuous quality improvement
Support agency goals related to accreditation, community engagement, and best practices in GBV and social services
Perform any other duties as required
Requirements
Bilingual in English and French
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counselling, or a Health-Related Discipline (preferred)
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience (preferred)
Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a Social Worker, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
Must be eligible and able to perform Psychotherapy as defined under the act
Excellent clinical assessment, formulation and treatment planning skills
Experience in social work, especially in GBV (gender-based violence), trauma-informed approaches and/or behavioral sciences
Experience with treatment and management strategies for challenging children, youth, and families
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Awareness, knowledge, and ability to deliver culturally safe services
Ability to provide crisis planning and response and demonstrated proactive problem-solving
Demonstrated ability to maintain successful partnerships with other service providers
Demonstrated ability to meet all Quality Assurance metrics
Valid driver’s licence, adequate insurance, and access to a vehicle
