Director of Supply Chain
The People BrandDirector of Global Supply Chain overseeing supply chain operations and leading teams in a multi-brand apparel organization. Driving operational excellence, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end supply chain operations across demand planning, supply planning, production, logistics, and distribution.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives that improve supply chain effectiveness and support long-term business objectives.
- Drive operational excellence through process improvement, scalability initiatives, and performance optimization.
- Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and improve business outcomes.
- Lead a large, cross-functional supply chain organization, including multiple people leaders and direct reports.
- Build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams focused on service, efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Create a strong succession pipeline through coaching, development planning, and talent management.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture that supports employee engagement and organizational growth.
- Partner closely with Product, Sourcing, Quality, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to leverage best practices and drive alignment across functions.
- Support product quality initiatives, post-sales processes, and operational risk mitigation efforts.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics across supply chain functions.
- Identify opportunities to improve service levels, cost efficiency, inventory management, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Ensure processes, systems, and teams are positioned to support future business growth and increasing complexity.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within apparel, consumer products, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex global supply chain operations from planning through execution.
- Proven success leading large teams and developing people leaders within a cross-functional environment.
- Strong analytical and business acumen with experience leveraging data to improve operational performance.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- MBA or advanced degree (preferred).
- Experience supporting multi-brand or multi-category product organizations (preferred).
- Background working within fast-growing, globally distributed consumer goods businesses (preferred).
