About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage recruiting activities for multiple open positions simultaneously
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and position requirements
- Draft and post job advertisements across appropriate recruiting platforms
- Review resumes and applications and identify qualified candidates
- Conduct initial telephone, virtual, and in-person candidate screenings
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Maintain communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Assist with offer letters, pre-employment requirements, background checks, and onboarding
- Maintain accurate candidate information in the applicant tracking system
- Develop candidate pipelines for frequently recruited positions
- Participate in recruiting events, career fairs, community outreach, and talent-acquisition initiatives
- Identify new recruiting sources and strategies to improve candidate quality and time-to-fill
- Support recruitment for office and operational/warehouse positions
- Provide bilingual recruiting and onboarding support for Spanish-speaking candidates and employees
- Review employee time and attendance records for accuracy
- Resolve payroll and timekeeping questions with employees and managers
- Assist with compiling and entering payroll-related information
- Maintain employee payroll, personnel, and confidential information
- Review employee changes affecting payroll
- Assist with payroll reporting and recordkeeping
- Serve as an HR resource for employees
- Assist with employee relations matters under HR leadership direction
- Communicate company policies, procedures, and HR programs
- Prepare employment documentation and reports
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding
- Support HR compliance, training, employee communication, and special projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Previous Human Resources, recruiting, payroll, administrative, or employee-support experience preferred
- Recruiting or talent-acquisition experience strongly preferred
- Experience with payroll and/or employee timekeeping systems preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable speaking with candidates and employees at all levels of an organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information professionally
- Strong follow-through and sense of urgency
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS), HRIS, payroll system, or PEO platform is a plus
- Must work fully on-site in Ronkonkoma, New York
