About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, guide, and direct staff efficiently and on time to meet customer demands, deadlines, and administrative duties
  • Maintain high shipping productivity and efficiency
  • Direct Internet shipping processes including picking, sorting, packing, and processing
  • Maintain staffing levels to accomplish receiving objectives
  • Plan and coordinate work; train, motivate, monitor, and evaluate receiving associates
  • Ensure shipping associates can safely operate material handling equipment
  • Develop crew leaders to oversee assigned crew members’ daily routines
  • Maintain safe and effective shipping equipment levels
  • Monitor merchandise loading, staging, shipping reports, and shipment readiness
  • Ensure shipments are complete and in acceptable condition
  • Resolve discrepancies with accounting involving invoices, packing slips, and shipping reports
  • Monitor paperwork flow from inventory control to shipping for timely data entry
  • Measure shipping accuracy, locator performance, and shipping reporting
  • Monitor X-carrier, DST, and email frequently to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Lead and supervise shipping agents
  • Counsel, document, and discipline shipping associates as necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and 5S warehouse principles
  • Ensure DOT and OSHA safety/compliance practices are followed
  • Direct shipment movement between shipping/receiving platforms and work areas
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be able to work Weekends!
  • 2-3 years hands on supervisory experience required
  • 1 year shipping/receiving experience
  • Supervisory experience and team building
  • Experience with WMS/inventory management systems and RF technology
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust to dynamic order flow fluctuations
  • Self-starter with ability to identify production delays and proactively act
  • Experience tracking metrics, including KPIs such as team member productivity
  • Knowledge of automotive parts preferred
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Outstanding customer relations skills
  • Strong team/personnel management skills and experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated drive to achieve results
  • Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to squat, bend, reach, and safely climb and descend stairs where applicable
  • Ability to operate powered equipment such as forklifts and cherry pickers
  • Ability to maintain and promote workplace safety
  • Ability to secure and transfer cash or other assets
