About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the company's financial planning and analysis, including annual budgets, long-range plans, and monthly/quarterly forecasts aligned to the sponsor's value creation plan
  • Prepare and present board and sponsor reporting packages, including KPI dashboards, covenant compliance analysis, and variance commentary
  • Manage lender relationships, including covenant tracking, compliance certificates, and periodic reporting required under credit agreements
  • Partner with the CFO and sponsor deal team on capital structure decisions, including debt refinancing, add-on acquisitions, and dividend recapitalizations
  • Lead financial due diligence and integration planning for M&A transactions, including post-close synergy tracking
  • Own cash flow forecasting and working capital management to optimize liquidity across the business
  • Develop and track value creation plans (VCPs) to drive long-term EBITDA improvement
  • Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors, lenders, and sponsor finance teams
  • Drive process improvements and build scalable financial infrastructure to support rapid growth and exit readiness
  • Build financial models supporting scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and strategic decision-making for the executive team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8-12 years of progressive finance experience, including experience in a private equity-backed or PE portfolio company environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or corporate development strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of credit agreements, covenant compliance, and lender reporting requirements
  • Strong track record building board-ready materials and presenting to sponsors, lenders, or boards of directors
  • Advanced financial modeling skills, including LBO, M&A, and scenario modeling
  • Experience with add-on acquisitions, integration planning, and post-merger synergy tracking
  • Proven ability to operate with high ownership in a lean, fast-moving finance organization
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills (Planful, PowerBI, Power Query, Tableau, SQL) preferred
