About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Warehouse Associate - Equipment Operator uses power industrial equipment to load and unload, move or stack materials or products
- Ensures the neat, orderly condition of the warehouse
- Uses power industrial equipment to load and unload, move or stack materials or products
- Operates manual or electric carts in order to fill orders
- From the receiving area, scan and count items and load on cart
- Stock items appropriately by location and quantity
- Receive merchandise from vendors and other stores and put them in the proper location on the shelves
- Check off merchandise as received
- Correct mistakes found on the inventory count sheet
- Assist in pulling parts during busy times
- Work with stock manager to address any problems with orders
- Miscellaneous projects and perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-2 years experience operating power industrial equipment
- Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal
- Understanding Map Locations
- Sorting by alpha or numeric
- Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
- Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10-50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 100 lbs
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach
- Occasionally required to sit and climb (ladders and/or stairs) or balance
- Must have an open availability, flexible and able to work various shifts and over time
- 1-2 years Warehouse experience preferred
- Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse
