About the role
- Manage end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing for a workforce of 2,000+ employees, including 150 corporate staff, distribution center personnel, and team members across 100+ retail stores in multiple states
- Be a TPS brand ambassador
- Process multi-state payroll in accordance with state law in Paycom, both on- and off-cycle runs
- Stay up to date on all federal and state laws applicable to payroll
- Process stop-payments, reversals, and manual checks as needed
- Manage all Payroll year-end processes in Paycom, including all W2 inquiries. Prepare and file all required government reporting; annual, quarterly, monthly
- Assist in the preparation of payroll and employee data of external audits
- Process prior quarter and year payroll adjustments
- Analyze payroll data and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy
- Reconciliation of payroll and billing discrepancies Minimum Wage audits and updates in Paycom
- Process changes to employees’ employment and personal information in Paycom and Enhanced Time
- Manage Outlook inboxes and respond with appropriate urgency
- Process and provide Paycom reports requested by all departments
- Perform internal information audits in Paycom and Paycom applicable to payroll and timekeeping
- Support employees and managers with troubleshooting payroll and timekeeping issues
- Sign off on employee timecards in Paycom
- Initiate, develop, and implement process improvements
- Process mass employee changes and imports for employee changes and pay data
- File and organize Payroll and Employee Personnel documentation
- Oversee system transition activities: support migration from ADP Workforce Now to Paycom, including data validation, testing, and training for managers and employees.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of progressive payroll experience in a retail organization
- Experienced and proficient in the use of Paycom
- Proficient in processing multi-state payroll in accordance with state and federal law
- Working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations as applicable to payroll
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Experience analyzing, researching, and resolving discrepancies
- Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
- Maintains a high level of discretion and adheres to confidentiality standards
- Ability to work autonomously while paying strong attention to detail
- Possess resourcefulness and initiative to solve problems and operate strategically and effectively
