Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or NAD-RID certification
  • Completion of an Interpreter Training Program from an accredited institution
  • Proficiency in ASL, including Academic ASL
  • Mastery of a high register of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and extensive vocabulary
  • Ability to match the language style of the consumers and the setting
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include evening and weekend hours
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check
  • A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process
