About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and advise pre-award grant support activities for principal investigators within The Ohio State University College of Public Health.
- Provide expert-level guidance throughout the full proposal lifecycle, including proposal development, budget preparation, submission, and administrative compliance.
- Serve as a senior-level leader for proposal development and as the primary point of contact for complex submissions.
- Coordinate proposal assembly and submission with the Office of Sponsored Programs.
- Review complex and multi-year grant budgets and establish subrecipient budgets.
- Advise investigators on submission strategies and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to sponsor guidelines and internal deadlines.
- Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements related to research.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 6 years of relevant experience required.
- Demonstrated previous experience with development of and/or submission of grant applications.
- Advanced word processing skills; Intermediate spreadsheet skills including ability to create budgetary documents.
- Ability to identify inconsistencies between application requirements and submitted documents.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Solid communication skills to clearly explain concepts and solutions to stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
