About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and advise pre-award grant support activities for principal investigators within The Ohio State University College of Public Health.
  • Provide expert-level guidance throughout the full proposal lifecycle, including proposal development, budget preparation, submission, and administrative compliance.
  • Serve as a senior-level leader for proposal development and as the primary point of contact for complex submissions.
  • Coordinate proposal assembly and submission with the Office of Sponsored Programs.
  • Review complex and multi-year grant budgets and establish subrecipient budgets.
  • Advise investigators on submission strategies and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to sponsor guidelines and internal deadlines.
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements related to research.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6 years of relevant experience required.
  • Demonstrated previous experience with development of and/or submission of grant applications.
  • Advanced word processing skills; Intermediate spreadsheet skills including ability to create budgetary documents.
  • Ability to identify inconsistencies between application requirements and submitted documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Solid communication skills to clearly explain concepts and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
