About the role

  • Provides strategic leadership for the Revenue Management department, including revenue integrity, pricing, and the chargemaster
  • Ensures compliance with governmental and payer regulations, manages operations and fiscal matters
  • Drives revenue optimization while preventing leakage and directs charge capture, reconciliation, pricing, and reimbursement practices
  • Provides education, auditing, and monitoring; partners with stakeholders to ensure compliant billing and coding
  • Conducts revenue-related reporting, analysis, and process improvements to support compliant, sustainable net revenue growth
  • Responsible for strategic planning, program development, workforce management, and overall administration of the Revenue Management team
  • Ensures all assigned activities comply with regulatory requirements and third-party agreements
  • Co-leads the Revenue Cycle Compliance Subcommittee with peers

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business, Health Information Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or COC required
  • Minimum of 10 years in hospital health information, clinical coding, and/or revenue cycle management
  • Strong analytical skills to assess operational needs and implement effective processes, protocols, and tools
  • Proven track record in managing priorities, organizing work structures, and leading teams in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; adept at collaborating across all levels of management
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry requirements and regulations
