About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a varied caseload of investigative and legal support work.
- Draft witness statements, legal documents and correspondence.
- Build professional relationships with witnesses and stakeholders.
- Support High Court proceedings and other complex legal work, including appeals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and share best practice across the team.
- Develop your regulatory and advocacy knowledge, with future opportunities to gain exposure to hearing preparation and case presentation activities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Law degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
- Experience of managing a caseload independently within a legal, regulatory, investigative or case-handling environment.
- Experience of gathering, reviewing and analysing evidence, including preparing witness statements, case documents or other formal legal or regulatory documentation.
- Experience of working collaboratively within a team while managing competing priorities and delivering work to deadlines.
- Strong legal research, analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and persuasive written documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and confidence with witnesses and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and IT skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
- Sound judgement and critical thinking, enabling you to analyse evidence, assess risk and reach balanced, reasoned conclusions.
- A proactive and results-focused approach, taking ownership of your work and delivering high-quality outcomes.
