About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide project design guidance during project planning and help teams incorporate lessons and insights from prior projects
Help design and maintain a database to capture, track, and query projects and insights
Engage multiple project teams to gather project insights and impact
Identify communities of practice to create shared-learning opportunities
Guide project staff on MEL and HUB data reporting to ensure complete data and insights
Provide leadership and stakeholders with presentations, written reports, and other formats covering portfolio strategy, implementation tools, and trends
Work with leadership to identify portfolio-level lessons and insights
Improve project design, capture and apply lessons learned, and support a culture of learning and iteration

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's degree in a social science related field and 2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams and teams across multiple geographies
Experience extracting, synthesizing, interpreting, and communicating information
Experience preparing reports of findings
Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people
Experience building trust to enable effective sharing of information and insights
Strong social science skillset with emphasis on evaluating behavior change
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
Experience providing guidance on project design, implementation, and impact assessment
Ability to work from a home office within the continental United States
Ability to travel occasionally for multi-day retreats, meetings, and conferences
Ability to work long, flexible hours as needed to coordinate with staff and partners across the U.S. or region
Successful completion of The Nature Conservancy's background screening process
