About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide project design guidance during project planning and help teams incorporate lessons and insights from prior projects
  • Help design and maintain a database to capture, track, and query projects and insights
  • Engage multiple project teams to gather project insights and impact
  • Identify communities of practice to create shared-learning opportunities
  • Guide project staff on MEL and HUB data reporting to ensure complete data and insights
  • Provide leadership and stakeholders with presentations, written reports, and other formats covering portfolio strategy, implementation tools, and trends
  • Work with leadership to identify portfolio-level lessons and insights
  • Improve project design, capture and apply lessons learned, and support a culture of learning and iteration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in a social science related field and 2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience leading and working with cross-functional teams and teams across multiple geographies
  • Experience extracting, synthesizing, interpreting, and communicating information
  • Experience preparing reports of findings
  • Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people
  • Experience building trust to enable effective sharing of information and insights
  • Strong social science skillset with emphasis on evaluating behavior change
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience providing guidance on project design, implementation, and impact assessment
  • Ability to work from a home office within the continental United States
  • Ability to travel occasionally for multi-day retreats, meetings, and conferences
  • Ability to work long, flexible hours as needed to coordinate with staff and partners across the U.S. or region
  • Successful completion of The Nature Conservancy's background screening process
