About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform administrative tasks and coordinate special projects for the Legal Corporate Services team
- Support Associate General Counsel(s), attorneys, senior leaders, and other legal leaders with operational, administrative, and project management work
- Maintain, track, and report key data, active work portfolios, and team priorities
- Establish realistic deadlines, manage timelines, track progress, and ensure accountability for deliverables
- Adapt processes and implement recommended practices to improve effectiveness
- Prepare annual budgets and assist with budget development, financial monitoring, and reconciliation
- Organize team meetings, recurring meetings, travel, internal and external events, and meeting logistics
- Support onboarding and offboarding of staff members
- Manage executive calendars and calendars of Associate General Counsel(s)
- Prepare correspondence, presentations, reports, and briefing materials
- Manage expense reporting, purchasing, invoice processing, vendor management, and operational planning
- Conduct non-routine research and analysis and follow through on complex assignments
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Maintain tracking systems and ensure compliance with organizational policies and external requirements
- Communicate and collaborate with Corporate Services, legal teams, senior leaders, peers, staff, and stakeholders
- Serve as a trusted partner in prioritizing work, solving problems, improving workflows, and achieving organizational objectives
- Travel occasionally and work variable hours as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience or equivalent combination
- Experience with MS Office 365, including Word and Excel
- Experience with Workday, CoPilot, and/or SharePoint
- Experience coordinating administrative processes
- Experience generating reports and interpreting data
- Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading
- Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and communicating with a wide range of people
- Experience with business process analysis and/or improvement
- Organization skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work a flexible and/or shifted schedule to accommodate differing time zones
- Ability to use diplomacy and tact to build strong relationships and motivate staff
- Successful completion of The Nature Conservancy's background screening process
