About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide specialized financial management services including accounting, budgeting, reporting and private award administration
Administer and maintain finance/accounting activities in accordance with TNC policies, procedures and best practices
Respond to moderately complex employee/management questions and problems based on advanced knowledge of their subject area
Coordinate multiple projects and deliverable outcomes on a timely basis
Prepare and monitor budgets, financial reports and communicate financial information to project staff
Prepare journal entries and other financial transactions
Maintain BU financial data, including journal entries, adjustments, and project records
Research transactions, prepare ad hoc reports, and identify follow-up actions as needed
Handle financial reporting and administration of private awards
Ensure programmatic commitments, TNC policies and procedures, financial standards and legal requirements are met and managed for compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 3 years' related experience or equivalent combination
Experience manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting data
Experience with accounting/financial issues and analysis
Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems, Workday preferred
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel
Experience with GAAP and fund accounting principles, practices and regulations and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IRFS) (Canada)
Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines
