About the role
- Drive strategic partnerships with financial institutions to embed biodiversity and nature-related considerations into decision-making.
- Ensure program compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
- Develop strategic partnerships with relevant groups to lead engagement strategies with financial institutions, investor forums, and corporate actors to promote nature-positive approaches in agricultural supply chains.
- Serve as a team leader for assigned projects and coordinate the work of others, including managing and implementing complex projects, including setting project timelines, managing project teams, developing and managing project budgets, supporting deliverables, and communicating to stakeholders with a high degree of autonomy.
- Lead or co-lead coordination of meetings, workshops, and webinars with corporate and civil society partners.
- Collaborate across internal teams (science, policy, regional) to ensure alignment and integration of nature-related priorities.
- Manage or participate in complex negotiations.
- Develop and deliver tailored messaging and materials for external stakeholders, including senior leadership and partners.
- Monitor and report on engagement outcomes, market trends, and policy developments related to sustainable finance and deforestation-free investment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental policy, finance, business, political science, international development or a related field and 4 years of experience in corporate engagement, sustainable finance, ESG, or conservation, or equivalent combination
- Fluency in English
- Experience engaging with financial institutions or investor networks
- Experience in designing, implementing and directing multiple complex projects and ensuring program accountability
- Experience working with corporate or NGO partners
- Communications experience including preparing and presenting project proposals
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced, remote team environment
- Experience using project management techniques and tools
