About the role
- Oversee new and renewal underwriting, select risks per company guidelines, and ensure timely follow-up and closing of accounts.
- Build and manage broker relationships, developing goals and strategies, and collaborating to craft tailored solutions for members.
- Underwriting Execution: Review your book of business, track performance, and analyze market conditions and competition.

- An Average Week: Well, there’s nothing average about PURE, and our Underwriting role is no exception. We’re all on the same team working together to provide the highest quality insurance experience to our membership! So, while our excellent service groups work diligently to serve our brokers and membership with standard requests, you’ll process the higher complexity endorsements and review inspections.
- As PURE's gatekeeper, protecting our membership will remain top of mind when you quote and bind new business and renewals.
- Accountability and responsibility are key in this role, as our Underwriting Specialists hold equivalent authority to that of a Regional Underwriting Manager.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of underwriting experience, preferably in the high net worth space and you are comfortable owning a book of business.
- Direct, empathetic communication is a staple in every aspect of your day, and you thrive on building connections with people.
- You know how to gather and analyze all the data you’ll need to make a decision on a risk.
- You work with pride and determination.
