About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the Foundation's day-to-day operations, keeping them organized, on schedule, and running smoothly.
  • Support the President, Board, and committees, and manage the Foundation's records, calendar, and deadlines.
  • Administer the Foundation's grantmaking across its board grant cycles and member-match program.
  • Manage the Foundation's budget and accounts, track expenditures, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Plan and manage the Foundation's two annual meetings, including venue selection, logistics, and on-site coordination.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Members, Directors, and grantees.
  • Advance the Foundation's technology, website, and record-keeping.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible administrative, nonprofit, or financial/operations experience.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll processing.
  • Ability to read tax returns and audited financial statements.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory environment for private foundations.
  • Strong proficiency with technology, including databases, spreadsheets, document-management systems, standard office software, and website support or coordination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
